43rd Post!

Just a little Joker and Harley Quinn love...

first up a *very* quick digital sketch :). I did this one real fast a week or two ago when I had the idea, but didn't have the time to work on it. So I just threw this down in photoshop, knowing when I saw it again, I'd remember to finish it up someday.
here's the cleaned up digital sketch:
Next up is are the pencils (col-erase to be exact):

Here's a couple in progress shots of the watercolors:

and then I forgot to take any more photos while working on it :).
here's the finished photo:
and a scan:
This one was done at 11x15 size on canson watercolor paper.

42nd Post!

Here's a commission I recently finished.

She's based off an anime character...whose name I can't remember right now :).
Art was done with acrylics and watercolor. 11x17 on comic art paper

Started with the digital sketch...
then printed that out and using my lightbox, traced it onto the 11x17 paper. (using col-erase pencils, of course)
and here's a few photos of the painting in progress...

and a close up of the finished piece (the pink in the background is a favorite color of mine, but it's too bright for the scanner to pick up).

40th Post!

Happy New Year!

when I woke up this morning I thought 'What's the first drawing of 2013 gonna be?' and I realized I hadn't done any holiday themed pieces this year (since last New Years). So I figured I'd continue the trend I started last year with these girls.

Here's the 2013 version
and the 2012 version
Enjoy! and have a good year everyone!
